Description

Senior Claims Specialist - AZ Worker’s Compensation – Company seeks an experienced technician who knows the Arizona territory’s Comp Laws.  Investigate and adjust Worker’s Compensation claims with high exposure. Aggressive and pro-active approach in claims adjusting. Focus placed on outcomes, with processes in their proper place. Develop strategies to bring claims to resolution.  Investigate losses. Analyze coverage. Determine compensability and benefits. Establish reserves and negotiate settlements. Conduct meetings on the phone with insureds and claimants. Prepare Large Loss reports for internal and external audiences. Attend settlement conferences. Work closely with defense attorneys, medical case management, and surveillance.The person hired for this position will work from an office in their home with occasional travel to claims reviews and meetings.

Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years of Arizona Worker’s Compensation claims adjusting experience, to include high exposure claims, is required. Prefer candidates with additional experience handling California or Colorado Worker’s Compensation claims. Proven written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to work skillfully and persuasively with a variety of internal and external contacts.Possession of current valid Arizona DIFI claims adjusting license for handling Worker’s Compensation claims. Strong consideration given to candidates with industry designations including CPCU, AIC, WCCP,  WCLA, WCLS, AEI WC Claims, AEI Law of Claims Fraud .
